Terms of use & privacy

Word Assistant is a free, personal, non-commercial site run by Samic. Use it at your own risk; it comes with no warranty. Please don't use it for anything illegal or to send spam.

What we store

• Your username, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Your cards and your study progress, and when you studied (shown on the progress page, and anonymously on Recent activity unless you choose to show your name).
• When you last signed in and from which IP address.

Emails

We email you only for password resets and, if you switch it on in your account settings, a weekly email when you have cards to study. Every one of those emails has a link to stop them. Invitations go only to the address a user enters, once.

Your control

You can export all your cards at any time, delete them, or delete your account (with everything in it) from your account page. Backups are kept for 14 days and then removed.

We don't sell or share your data, and the site uses no ads or third-party trackers. It uses one cookie, to keep you signed in.
